Dusk Comes to Lake Tahoe
Acrylic Painting
Created by
Pamela Acheson Myers
This is an original contemporary abstract landscape. It is painted on linen, and is created with numerous layers of acrylic paint. Each layer is allowed to completely dry before the next color is applied. This allows the "see-through" effect and gives the painting depth. The colors of the painting attractively continue onto the wrapped edges. It is gallery-wrapped over a wood frame and wired for hanging. Signed on front, lower right corner. Clean with a damp cloth.
It was a gorgeous clear moment, the beginning of evening. The mountains were receding into dark shadow and lights in houses across the lake had just begun to shine. The lake was becoming a deeper blue and capturing these new reflections. Above, light from the setting sun, which had dropped behind the mountains, was captured in a cluster of clouds.
