An egg shaped blown glass paperweight, frosted and with a facet on one side. The weight has color in the artist's signature optic rib pattern only on the surface, but reflections of this color and pattern are seen through the facet as it reflects on the surface of the interior bubble. Each piece is handmade; size and color distribution will vary.

Little River HotGlass Studio
"Our work deals with creating harmony in the balance of form and color. "

Michael Trimpol and Monique LaJeunesse's work explores the nature of the glass. They feel a particular love for glass in its molten state, and they channel that love into the creation of objects of beauty and originality: vases, perfume bottles, and more.

The artists work with glass using traditional techniques, gathering and blowing the molten glass until each piece achieves the balance and harmony they are striving for. They often incorporate processes such as cold working, sandblasting, cutting, and polishing in order to accentuate or focus on characteristics of the material.

Color/Finish: darker than expected
Scale/Size: as expected
Ocean Paperweight, Medium

It's a beautiful piece, but the picture as advertised is deceiving. It has an outer layer of black covering the piece. To see it as the picture is shown, the glass work needs a light source to light it up accordingly. I had to buy a powerful, lighted, display base, so the true color could be shown in the picture correctly. Be aware. Why they covered the piece with a black covering I have no clue.

Not what I expected according to the advertised picture. Its black all over, but you need a light source for the colors to show thru the black covering as the picture shows. Now I need to get a lighted base for it to show the colors correctly.

Stunning - Luv it!

At first, I thought, this doesn't look like the image on the webpage--rather dull. Then I lit it from the bottom--Wow!--it exploded with light and color and impossible beauty. It's like a jewel
