Vitrix Hot Glass Studio
"Glass always challenges you. I'm obsessive about bringing craft and design together to give each piece its own character. "

When Thomas Kelly went to work for Bob Rockwell—the world's leading collector of Carder-Steuben glass—he had no idea that glass would end up playing such a major role in his life. Under Rockwell's guidance, he had to opportunity to handle and examine the work of noteworthy glass designer Frederick Carder.

Several years later, he began to work in the glass studios of Alex Brand and Thomas Buechner, where he had the opportunity to learn from two distinctly different artists. This experience helped Kelly develop his technical ability and aesthetic sensitivity while finding his own voice in glass. Today, Kelly continues to hone his skills as the owner of Vitrix Hot Glass Studio, a contemporary glass studio in the historic Market Street district of Corning, New York.

Kelly's work has been exhibited internationally and can be found in galleries throughout the USA, Canada, Europe, and Japan. His work is displayed in a number of museums, including the Corning Museum of Glass, the High Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Museum für Kunst and Gewerbe in Hamburg, Germany.

Tom Kelly Makes the Best

This is my fifth Tom Kelly perfume bottle as I have been collecting decorative perfume bottles for 50+ years. His colors are just beautiful. The one I purchase is a bright blue and when the sun shines on it in my perfume bottle display curio it is just breath taking. I would recommend his work if you are a new collector or a long time one. I use to live in the NY area and world see him at all the big collector shows in NY and the big ACC in Balitmore. Now I can only find on-line at Artful Home.

This is a lovely perfume bottle

I love the design and flowing lines of this glass perfume bottle. The blue and clear glass, along with the whiter etched areas are a lovely match to the decor and colors in my master bathroom.

An Exquisite Piece Of Art

It was as beautiful after I received it as when it was shown online.

Soooo lovely...

Arrived, then unpackaged, I held it up to the light...and I viewed perfection from every angle...perfection & beauty & elegance & master craftsmanship.

The cobalt blue is magnificent. The opaque 'wings,' base, & bottle stopper are flowing & lovely. Below the cobalt blue perfume holder (should you use it for perfume), is crystal clear glass all the way down to its opaque base.

Simply gorgeous.

This piece is a contender for most beautiful and most cherished perfume bottle in my collection. It has its own prominent place on my collection shelves.
