Ken and Ingrid Hanson have worked together since their early college years. Although traditional Italian and Swedish glassblowing techniques inspire them, they employ a bold and innovative color palette to create their unique, contemporary art glass.
The artists pay great attention to the detail of the surface decoration on their vessels. They first create brightly colored stripes and shapes using hand-formed cane and murrini, and then, during the blowing process, they fuse these inclusions onto the surface of the glass. They also often include 24K gold and pure silver leaf in many of their pieces.

Lovely addition to my collection of fall pumpkins. Color is different than shown online but I like it enough to keep. Heavy for its petite size.
I have a collection of art glass pumpkins from this particular artist, and they all have been beautifully made and do look exactly like they look on the website picture. I have been thrilled with my purchases and keep coming back for more with new colors, designs and styles to add to my art glass pumpkin collection. This particular art glass pumpkin is solid/weighty and has every color of the rainbow in the glass. I love the iridescence of the stem and the curl. I will look out for future new pieces to add to my collection.
