Art Glass Sculpture
Created by
Karen Wallace
Eye-like windows of murrini cut from hand-pulled glass cane allow light to shine through this geometric fused glass sculpture.
Creamy vanilla lines created from dozens of thin strips of glass set on edge flow through and divide quadrants of opaque pastel blue and coral. The components are fired separately in the kiln, cold-worked to fit together with crisp corners and intersections, then fired again to create a single sheet.
The piece can be viewed from the front or the more muted back thanks to the metal stand. Dimensions include stand.
