Circle Platter

Hand built stoneware serving or snack tray. When the surface is finished and smoothed the piece is coated with black glaze and when dry enough to handle the decoration is applied using the ancient technique of sgrafitto which involves carving through the black glaze to reveal the white stoneware clay body.
