This striking form is crafted using traditional hand-building techniques, including pinching and carving, giving it an ancient yet modernistic quality. The artist does the surface carving while the clay is leather-hard and finishes the detailing in a bone dry state.

After the initial firing, a black underglaze is applied, and the piece is fired to obtain a rich, matte finish. Approximate weight 5lbs.
