Paper Teapot

Ceramic Teapot

Rated 5 based on 1 customer reviews
This is a decorative teapot. It begins as a wheel-thrown stoneware vessel. After being altered with the application of flat clay slabs to both sides, and the spout, lid, foot and handle lugs added, it is fired to bisque temperature to harden the clay. The curved sides of the pot are then overlaid with a collage of torn fragments of handmade Japanese papers. The two flat sides are overlaid with a collage of paper, skeletal leaves, and digital prints of autumn leaves. The handle, of twisted Red River Willow, is then attached. Think of it as a sculpture of a teapot !
