Encircled in Blue

This graceful porcelain vase is circled by flowers in tones of blue and purple; a yellow butterfly and a honey bee are poised to land on the blooms. Each insect and flower are created one at a time from thin sheets of clay, drawn, cut out and carefully placed by the artist. The background color is a transparent aqua.
