The Snake That Ate the Teapot 2

Wood Sculpture

Created by Sylvie Rosenthal
This sculpture is from the artist's Teapot series. In this sculpture, the shape of the teapot transforms the snake into a different creature entirely. The teapot lid is removable-please see the alternate image for details. The sculpture is hand-carved and constructed using poplar and bass wood. Limited edition of 7.

Rosenthal is known for her intricate and detail-oriented furniture and sculpture, contraptions, and art objects, that are infused with humor and steeped in the impossible.
