Inspired by artist Nadine Hajjar's Mediterranean origins, this side table was designed with corals in mind and carved from wood; its design blurs the line between mineral and animal aesthetics. Its soft lines fit well in a contemporary interior, interacting with light as it reveals mystical silhouettes and spread playful shadows onto your space. Stainless steel top.

"I design and create useful furniture pieces meant to inspire one's everyday. My organic aesthetics add softness and serenity to a space. Every object I create tells a story, be it through its design, purpose, or simply its interaction with light. I infuse my creations with lyricism and humor making them useful story books one can read in any direction through organic, clean, and mostly gentle lines."

Nadine decided to become a designer from a very early age; she collected small perfume bottles to satisfy her attraction to shape and color. Creating a piece and carving it is therapy to her and is in complete contradiction with the chaos in which she grew up in Lebanon. It brings her softness, serenity, and calm that she infuses into her work.

Nadine designs and produces furniture, lighting, and objects in her Montreal based studio. Her work is very sculptural and organic in style. She works with wood, glass, metal, clay, and plaster. She starts every design with a sketch that is then built in a small scale model. Once satisfied with the design she makes a prototype. This is how she builds her collection piece by piece.

Nadine's imagination is deeply rooted in her childhood in Beirut and was broadened throughout her adventures abroad. She started her career as an interior architect and specialized in furniture in Milan. She realized that wood was her favorite canvas. It is through her interaction with this noble material, and through shaping objects she once imagined, that she felt complete as a designer.
