Cortney Boyd and Nate Steinbrink
"We make contemporary glass art with a modern design flare. Our colors, textures, and patterns are influenced by the beauty of the Rocky Mountain region."

Artists Cortney Boyd and Nate Steinbrink work together to bring a fresh take on modern glass forms. Their aesthetic is a blend of 50's modernism, contemporary minimalism, and 19th century patterns. They have a passion for pushing what can be accomplished with an art glass studio and love to make exciting fresh and fun glass designs to enhance your space. They utilize a broad spectrum of glass making techniques developed from years of honing their craft. Their techniques include 19th century mold-blowing, computer aided machining and enamel engraving to highlight a few.

The Gem Ornament was inspired from classic 50's mold-blown glass and the artist's love of geometric forms. They start with a 2000-degree hot gather of clear glass, then infuse it with the glass color of the ornament, and shape it using their hand-forged mold. Each ornament is an original with the temperature of the mold and color application adding slight changes in texture and color.

In 2014 Cortney Boyd and Nate Steinbrink started Flux Studio LLC in Denver, Colorado. Flux Studio's mission is to foster a community of glass artists and find new ways forward for the glass arts. Cortney and Nate each have a Master's of Fine Arts in Glass. Prior to starting Flux Studio, Cortney taught university glass classes and Nate worked as a curator. Their works in glass have been exhibited in numerous national exhibitions and sold in places like the Store at Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
