This hand-formed copper bass mobile "swims" in the lightest breeze: made in Wisconsin from hand-formed copper sheets with the artist's signature blue patinated pattern, each segment moves in unison with its attached neighbor, creating a natural swimming motion. Brass rods and fishing gear complete the sculpture.

Finished with a protective sealant and meant to be enjoyed for many years to come—indoors or out! Each mobile has a unique patina that will darken over time. Approximately 3 lbs.

Windswimmers
"I create anatomically accurate mobiles of fish from copper and brass that have a realistic swimming motion in the wind."

Windswimmer copper fish mobiles are mesmerizing to watch. The slightest breeze sets them in motion. You will find it difficult to look away as they swim.

A pattern is used to draw the outline of the fish segments. They are then cut and then formed by hand, and soldered. The segments then have a chemical patina applied. The finished pieces are assembled and using brass fishing swivels 100 pound test salt water fishing line and brass rods, the perfectly balanced mobile is created.

Kevin Edgar is a self-taught artist/craftsman having spent is career creating wood and glass products. The Windswimmers are his latest area of interest.
