"After a career in publishing, I fell in love with the practice of making jewelry. There’s a quiet concentration of working with my hands, carving wax, and shaping metal that gives me joy. I find great purpose in creating work that instantly becomes part of you and carries with it the pleasure of its making, from my hands to yours."

Based in the Hudson Valley, Judi creates pieces that celebrate fleeting things–waves, breezes, flowers, and moments in time. Judi wants every piece to tell a story, and for you to attach your own meaning to it as she has hers.

Judi hand fabricates all her jewelry using traditional goldsmithing techniques as well as wax carving and lost-wax casting, which enables her to incorporate unique dimensional forms into her jewelry designs. Judi hand-selects each gemstone and gravitates to those with unusual characteristics. Her trademarked Cashmere Finish® is the signature of her work.

Judi received her AAS Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Jewelry Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (2013). She began her metalsmithing practice in 2002 and has studied at New Approach School for Jewelers, 92Y, Jewelry Arts Institute, S.V.A., and Brooklyn Metal Works, and has taken gemology classes at GIA. She is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG), JVC, and American Craft Council (ACC).
