In his furniture designs, Eric Reece attempts to eliminate preconceptions about steel. By choosing to design with soft curving lines and pointed feet, Reece lends a sense of dancing, lightweight form and natural grace to this industrial material.

Through an exacting application of heat and force, Reece manipulates sheet steel. He fuses old and new techniques of forging and welding, and finishes each piece by applying a hand-rubbed patina to create a natural, soft touch.

Color/Finish: as expected
Form Meets Function Bench

I immediately was attracted to the shape of this bench when scrolling thru the website. I initially dismissed it as I was looking for something longer than this piece. Luckly, Eric Reece agreed to make a new mold to our ideal dimensions. Worth the wait! The bench is aesthetically beautiful and interesting to walk by everyday and when we do use it to put on/take off shoes, it's a sturdy bench.

A Beatuful and Interesting Yet Functional Piece of Artwork

The bench is gorgeous. Pictures do not do it justice. It is unique and decorative yet incredibly durable and functional. Fits the space and color scheme perfectly. Another great find at Artful Home.
