Jennifer Bauser

"I started buying crazy, wonderful bracelets and brooches at yard sales when I was around six years old, I am apparently still fascinated with the two."

Jennifer Bauser makes jewelry that is not complicated. Pretty and fun and designed to be worn everyday, her work has a sense of old meets new, natural meets industrial. The strength and simplicity of natural forms drives her aesthetic, and while her pieces are made to stand alone, they do play well with others.

Bauser combines many different traditional metal techniques in the creation of her jewelry. There is a predominant use of forging combined with carved, fabricated, or cast components. Her playful yet sophisticated designs are developed thru the repetition of elegant, simple forms. The addition of powder coating to add durable, fabulous color to the line is very exciting.

Bauser received a BFA from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. There she studied fine metal and enamel with Jim Malenda. She later worked as a studio assistant for designer Judith Neugebauer in Milford, PA. She is currently studying Architecture at Norwich University in Vermont.
