Delicate grasses seem to sway in a tranquil breeze across this dimensional wall sculpture. Hand-cut from thick aluminum and brushed for a soft metallic sheen, the piece features transparent washes of green and blue tones that shimmer with light and movement. Every mark is part of an original painting on metal, sealed with lacquer for lasting brilliance. Mounted with standoffs, the work floats off the wall, casting shadows that add depth and organic energy to the space. Ready to hang with provided hardware. Includes standoffs, screws, anchors, and instructions.

Marsh Scott

"Each day I walk the coastal paths near my home, observing how light, wind, and time shape the land. Whether I’m sculpting steel or layering color on canvas, I return to the same impulse: to distill motion, memory, and atmosphere into form."

Scott’s work explores the quiet drama of nature’s transitions—from botanical rhythms to the sweep of wind across the sea. Her paintings and sculptures reflect a lifelong fascination with layering—both literal and metaphorical—and evoke the interplay of stillness and movement in the world around us.

Her sculptural practice includes hand-fabricated stainless steel and textured mixed-media reliefs, often inspired by geology, time, and transformation. In her paintings, she works in acrylic on canvas or wood panel, building nuanced surfaces through underpainting, washes, and gestural mark-making.

Scott earned a B.S. in Art Education from Penn State and an M.A. in Art from California State University, Long Beach. She has completed post-graduate studies in architecture and has created major public art installations across the U.S. She lives and works in Southern California.
