Sara's work reflects the paradoxes of modern femininity. She combines sensual colors and elemental shapes in original designs that radiate joy and strength. Tone and balance are considerations in all of her designs. As a self-taught jewelry artist, Sara’s practice has always been about being in the moment. Her process is intuitive and begins by immersing herself directly with the materials.
Sara combines her signature wire wrapping technique with traditional jewelry making and textile sensibilities in unexpected ways. The pieces often incorporate a unique metal circle which acts as a loom to weave fine gauge metal wire, strung with faceted beads and wrapped around the frame. She combines oxidized silver, 24k yellow gold, distinctive vintage materials and gemstones in her designs.
