"Flowers are more than objects of beauty and admiration, they speak their feelings with far more force and tenderness than words can describe. They mark occasions both celebratory and somber, and have an immediate impact on our happiness, calmness, intimacy, and wellbeing. The language in a single flower or a small bouquet, whether secretive or candid, can convey a wide array of intention and meanings that are relatable across cultures and gender."

Liz's work explores the intricate language and symbolism of flowers. Through her creative work, she examines the significance of flora and celebrates their emotive power. Her jewelry incorporates kinetic elements that create a harmonious relationship between her pieces and the wearer.

Drawn to the jeweler’s saw, Liz intricately pierces small silver flowers, arranging them into elegant bouquets, garlands, and wreaths. Each piece she creates is a labor of love, meticulously brought to life through a combination of soldering, riveting, and intricate hand-fabrication techniques.

Liz Clark is a maker and metalsmith based in Providence, RI. She holds a BFA in Crafts/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
