Cheryl Williams's graceful shapes and lines lend a quiet elegance to her impeccable artwork. She captures the essence of light and color while being true to her muse. She creates abstract paintings and sculptures that make unique use of vibrant pigments and colors.
Cheryl Williams was introduced to clay in 1975. Finally able to combine her enjoyment of working with her hands with her interest in images, geometrical shapes, and colors, she has been working with the medium ever since.
Mistakes, dreams, and teachers inspire Williams. Throwing her ceramic bowls by hand, she airbrushes them to give an appearance of softness in contrast to the severity of the edges. Gold, silver, or copper interiors express the inner light that Williams believes dwells in all of us.
