Sadie Wang Jewelry and Hollowware

"My silver jewelry is contemporary and clean, with an emphasis on line. More recently, I have expanded my media to work with 18K gold, resin, and blown glass. "

Jewelry is one of the most personal objects because it is worn most closely to a person's body. For centuries it has served as a vehicle to identify class, social status, wealth, and taste. Sadie Wang is challenged in the decorative arts field to create objects of meaning in our lives and culture. Her work is simple and clean, and possesses a strong design quality, providing the wearer with tactile and visual pleasure.

All the work is done by hand fabrication.

Wang holds a B.A. from Indiana University and an M.F.A. from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
