Rollercoaster

The abstract expressionist acrylic canvas is created in Guthrie's unique style. It has taken several decades to find the process using: scrapers, brushes, palette knives to work as a successful composition. She works without a sketch, just putting paint on white canvas, then spreading out, going back in, subtracting and then adding organic shapes to balance the whole and getting at the unity. On gallery-wrapped canvas with sides painted a neutral color.
