A modern patchwork of densely layered clear and opaque glass creates a vibrant column of light in this truly remarkable tower. Each of the four unique fused glass panels in the artist's ''Carnival'' style is sandblasted on the reverse to diffuse the light, then set within a handmade, powder-coated, black steel frame. Includes LED bulbs that illuminate the piece from within, and a remote dimmer control that can adjust the brightness to best accommodate your space and mood. Signed, dated, and numbered by the artist. Limited edition of 50.

" I am interested in how colors mix and react to create depth and balance in the piece. I focus on the subtle effects light can have on the art."

Helen Rudy came to creating beautiful fused glass pieces from a non-traditional background in construction management. Her attention to color detail, layering, and saturation heralds back to her degree. Her crisp and clean designs clearly focus on the interaction of light and its effect on the glass.

Each piece of glass is measured and hand cut. By layering one color or many different colors on top of each other, a bright and bold design is created. The glass is first fired in a kiln to about 1500 degrees F to melting or fusing point. Sometimes a second firing is needed to create a shape. The glass can be in the kiln for several days before finishing.

Almost entirely self taught, Rudy attended workshops with Milon Townsend, and Lisa Voigt, attended the Pilchuck Scool of Glass to study with Alicia Lomne, and in 2011 studied casting Pate De Verre with Anna Boothe.

Engineering and artistic excellence

This is a magnificent colored glass sculpture tower. I have original Tiffany and Conrad Schmitt lamps. The artistic excellence in this lamp is every bit as good. You will never find another tower glass lamp as good as this one. There is a whole lot of eye popping colors on four tall 12" wide panels. The black metal frame holding the glass is strong and looks great. This is really a good deal. SEVEN STARS. TMFMD

Happy Every Day

I was looking for floor lamp and noticed this one. My Christmas tree was about to come down, and I was going to miss the colorful glow. This lamp has a small footprint, and is heavy enough so it won't tip over easily. It looks great with a statue on top, especially one that will take advantage of the *light coming through the top, which is also made of fused glass*. FYI, the colors are primarily blue. Remote control allows the lights to blink in different ways. Would also be great for a retail store to attract attention!

Wow! What a lamp.

This lamp is in the corner of our livingroom. It is so colorful and when it's on at night the colors of the glass are displayed beautifully!
