Ken and Ingrid Hanson have worked together since their early college years. Although traditional Italian and Swedish glassblowing techniques inspire them, they employ a bold and innovative color palette to create their unique, contemporary art glass.
The artists pay great attention to the detail of the surface decoration on their vessels. They first create brightly colored stripes and shapes using hand-formed cane and murrini, and then, during the blowing process, they fuse these inclusions onto the surface of the glass. They also often include 24K gold and pure silver leaf in many of their pieces.

Color/Finish: as expected
Love my new Cosmic Paperweight. The colors are so bright and sparkly making the paperweight dreamy to look at.
The only thing different is the top 1/4 of the paperweight is clear glass and not filled in as the photo shows but is still beautiful.
