"I think there are certain universal aspects in the visual world that strike a chord. Things like the proportion of the Golden Mean, the curve of the crescent moon, or the geometry of the fractal equation all have a quality that captivates. It's one of those things that cannot be defined but you know it when you see it. When I'm working I'm always moving toward that line or curve that resonates."

George C Scott works with glass to create functional, sculptural and decorative pieces. His current work includes leaded glass panels, blown glass, and kiln-formed slumped, fused and cast glass works. His sculptures often reflect simple natural forms that are best expressed through the medium of glass, which reflects, refracts, transmits and dances in infinitely variable play with light.

George Scott's glass works are formed in a large kiln at high temperatures. Glass is fused, slumped or cast in multi-step processes to create architectural, functional and sculptural objects. Projects often include metals and blown glass incorporated with kiln-formed components.

George C Scott once worked as a jewelry maker and designer. An interest in architectural antiques led to work repairing and then designing and fabricating leaded glass. Later Scott began focusing on kiln-formed glass, initially a component of his leaded glass projects. Largely self-taught, he continues to learn much about fusing, slumping and casting glass through constant experimentation.

This is Awesome

This is the most beautiful pendant light we've ever seen. It provides plenty of light and we've put it on a dimmer.

If you hang it, as we chose to do, so that taller people who are standing can see over the rim of the glass, you'll need to use low profile bulbs.

We love it!!!!!
