Art Glass Sculpture
The Diamonds panel is influenced by Latimer's intrigue with knotted rugs and textiles both in pattern and the weaving of colors. By layering and fusing translucent glass pieces, Latimer builds a subtle unique palette as in a water color painting. The glass also has an iridized surface which is more visible in low and reflected light. Working with the irids is like building a second piece, the primary based on the color of the glass and the echo paying close attention to the colors of the iridized reflections. This panel is available in both horizontal and vertical presentation. Best viewed in front of a window. The custom black powder coat stand is included.
