Like an antique bottle drifting across the sea, this sculpture can hold a message of your own - uncork the blown glass bottle to fill it with special notes, seashells, pebbles, flowers, or other tiny keepsakes. The sculpted wave base is fused to the bottle using a creative twist on a classical Italian technique. Bottle opening is .75"dia.

I'm disappointed that my "Message in a Bottle" has not delivered as advertised. The online picture portrays a tilted bottle (which would be authentic since the ocean's waves do not keep a bottle upright), whereas my bottle is sitting very erectly, straight up, which doesn't look authentic. In any future purchase, I will call to get details about varying qualities in selected merchandise.

Love this objet d'art!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift to myself, and I placed it at the edge of the tv stand. Above the tv screen is a framed antique map of the Caribbean and the two play off each other nicely. I think this piece is true to the online picture-the blue glass really makes you feel like you're seeing a bottle bob in the water. I think the only thing that could (possibly) enhance it would be to have some kind of weathered scroll rolled up in the bottle. I think it's very clever-I love it!
