Rococo Leaf

Black & White Photograph

Created by Russ Martin
This is an image of a shriveled leaf of the common landscape plant, the hosta. It had been hit by frost and dried, and in the process, it took on a shape that reminds one of the flora sculpted by artists of the Baroque "Rococo" period in the 18th century.

The print was made on 22X17 inch mat surface fine art paper, and printed on a professional Epson printer with archival pigment inks which have a fade resistance of over 300 years. It is one of a possible edition of 50, plus 2 artist's proofs, and is titled and numbered on the lower left, and signed and dated on the lower right, in pencil. There is a border of one inch on the top and bottom and 1.8 inches on the right and left.
