Three Leaves

An image of the leaves of the common landscape plant, the hosta, captured with an infrared-enabled digital camera. The use of this camera and a special filter over the lens permits for the photographing of subjects by infrared light alone. This creates images of foliage that are very light in appearance.

This image is one of a group which won first place awards in the International Photography Awards (the Lucies) and the Prix de la Photographe Paris (PX3).

It is printed on matte surface fine art paper with archival pigment inks. It is titled and numbered on the lower left and signed and dated on the lower right in pencil.
