Crazy Cat Lady Ceramics
"Our goal is to spread joy through our work. "

What could be more personal than your favorite mug? Objects we use every day become characters in the story of our lives. Chris Hudson's goal is to remind people to cherish and respect the objects they are surrounded with. In a world full of millions of things, what makes something have value? Hudson believes it is little bit of magic, a little bit touch, and little bit joy. That's her goal for every object.

All work is hand thrown or hand built, then manipulated according to the function and design. Photos, drawings, or text are manipulated on the computer and then printed in-house onto decal paper. The images are hand applied to each piece and fired on the clay. Most of the work is fired 3 to 4 times to achieve complicated affects.

Chris Hudson has been active in the ceramics world for over 16 years. She received her master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 2007. She has exhibited her ceramics all over the world. Shelly started her ceramics life in Montreal 3 years ago. If a pot wasn't thrown by Chris, it was made by Shelly. In addition to throwing, she does all the glazing and photography.
