The Lizard Loves Red
Ceramic Vase
Created by
Lisa Scroggins
A wheel-thrown earthenware vase has a playful feel, thanks to the addition of a lively, hand-sculpted lizard. Multiple layers of underglaze are brushed onto the piece to achieve bold, saturated colors, and a clear gloss glaze is brushed on inside and out, ensuring that the work is watertight. Once more, the piece is fired in the kiln to cone 05 (1888F) for 8 hours and cooled for 24 hours.
Each piece is unique and slight variations in composition, dimensions, and colors will occur. Signed on the bottom.
