Sprouting from small seeds, the Giant Sequoia trees can live for over 3,000 years and are the world's largest trees. These specimens were photographed in Sequoia National Park in CA, with the reflected sunlight creating a burning orange glow on the trunks. Thompson captured the image on medium format film, created a high-resolution scan and printed it on a double-weight archival cotton rag paper with pigment inks. This image is in a limited edition of 25 with only 20 prints remaining. It is titled, numbered, and signed below the image.
