This abstract reflection features bold Icelandic colors from a Summer day in the northernmost village of the mainland. The twisting colored ribbons of red and green in the water are set against a turquoise blue lending it an almost Picasso-like abstraction. This serene reflective art is available as a traditional print for you to mat and frame to suit your decor.

Each print is made to order by a custom photo lab to the artist's specifications, using a 100% cotton fine art paper that is acid and lignin free. An archival museum board is recommended for matting. The print is signed and numbered in the right-hand corner under the image.

Cindy A Stephens
"The Dr. Seuss story "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" expresses my passion for exploring. I love traveling to photograph what I experience and discover. "

Fine artist Cindy A. Stephens is heavily influenced by her passion for discovery and love of travel. Her work often reflects a "take-the-road-less traveled" philosophy and Capra-esque sentiment. She travels to main streets and back roads in American towns where, surprisingly, one can still find icons from different periods in history. She also travels to other countries and continents, driven by a hunger she's had since childhood to get to know different cultures and experience natural wonders.

Stephens honed her technical skills by developing black-and-white prints in the wet darkroom before she eventually transitioned to digital photography. Perhaps this is why she generally makes minimal adjustments to photographs, preferring to capture the moment while photographing rather than excessively using editing tools. Her fine art inkjet prints are made to order.

Over the years, Stephens has continued to hone her skills at Maine Media Workshops and New England School of Photography (NESOP) as well as through instruction with former NESOP instructor Carol Krauss. In addition, she has received private group training and mentoring from freelance photographer David H. Wells.
