Wynn Yarrow's landscapes are metaphors for the inner life. Clouds, though ephemeral, yield tremendous power. They represent the possibility of swift transformation. Night is a veiled realm, one that relies on memory, insight and imagination.

Wynn works in gouache (opaque watercolor) and matte acrylic mixed with a medium prepared by hand.

Trained in architecture, Wynn worked briefly in the design professions and then pursued fine art as a lifelong career. Wynn's continuing studies have been at Penland School of Crafts, NC, Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, MD, Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, NY and John C. Campbell Folk School, NC.

This is so lovely. The colors are intense and the quality is excellent.

Magical!

I took this print to my local framing shop today. One of the owners took one look at it and exclaimed, "It's magical!" and wanted to know where I purchased it. She and I discovered that we both love all things celestial. I can't wait to add this to my other framed prints that feature the moon and stars.

Serene and Peaceful Silent Night

I own two other smaller prints by this artist and I love them both but something about The Stargazer caught my eye: the peaceful serenity of the Milky Way on a clear night! I purchased this larger print as a Christmas present for myself and I just love the stars twinkling among the branches of the tree in the foreground. I never tire of looking at it. It is a great purchase on high quality paper with beautiful colors and composition.
