Inspired by the elegant tulip flower, these drop earrings will add a splash of color and just a hint of whimsy to artful ensembles. The bloom is crafted from copper and pigmented epoxy resin, then soldered to an oxidized sterling silver stem.

Lauren Schlossberg

"I hope for the wearer of my jewelry to experience as much pleasure and happiness as I get from making it."

Influenced by the natural world, Lauren Schlossberg's work is organic in nature, with pops of color balanced by the neutrality of the oxidized metal.

Schlossberg creates her work using unusual combinations of materials: tiny, hand-woven glass seed beads, carved resin, glass enamel, and fabricated metalwork.

Lauren Schlossberg received her BFA in painting from Carnegie Mellon University before attending the Jewelry and Metalsmithing Continuing Studies Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art. The artist's jewelry has been exhibited at the Portland Museum of Contemporary Craft, the Smithsonian Craft Show, and SOFA Chicago and New York.
