Split Blossom Earrings

Polymer Clay Earrings

Created by Jeffrey Lloyd Dever
The delicate asymmetry of these colorful lightweight earrings reflect the intimate life cycles of a seasonal garden. Splashed with an array of contrasting turquoise and violet spots on a sunny golden hue, they each feature a quartet of dangling red and magenta stamens. Each two-petaled blossom is built with layers of polymer clay, hand formed over an original artist mold.

The results are hollow, lightweight sculptural forms that really make a statement when suspended on sterling silver ear wires. The colorful surfaces, stripes, and patterns are the actual color of the clay, carefully applied and cured in up to 10-12 individual stages. Each pair also features a hand-carved and backfilled artist signature block on the back. As handmade works of art, each pair will vary slightly, ensuring that each piece is uniquely yours.
