These hollow sculptural earrings are first carved in wax, then electroformed in copper and powder coated. Extremely lightweight and available in a variety of fun colors, some with 24k gold or fine silver accents. 14k gold ear wires.

Shana Kroiz' one-of-a-kind wearable jewelry celebrates ancient forms and the sensuous nature of human consciousness. These pieces are universal in their appeal and personal in their effect. When worn, the jewelry interacts as sculpture, making the body a pedestal. These pieces are all made with artistic integrity and fine craftsmanship.

Kroiz carves her forms in wax and then electroforms them in either 18k gold, rhodium, 18k rose gold, or oxides over copper. The forms are very lightweight and easy to wear. All findings are either sterling silver or 18k gold. Other forms she finishes with layers of both opaque and transparent enamels, set in hand-fabricated silver or gold settings.

Kroiz received her B.F.A. from Parsons School of Design and an M.F.A. from Towson University. Since 1991 she has been teaching at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she is the founder of the Jewelry Center and is currently the Workshop and Special Events Coordinator.

High quality, well made. I ordered the small size, however, it is not your average small as noticed in the description. I believe it is slightly under two inches, which is just perfect. Can wear casual or dressy. Nicely boxed.

I got the magenta, red to me, and these are really nice, a bit heavy, but love the long shepherds hook back...I love the blue, hopefully next.
There are not too many things that are Not eye catching to me.
