The youngest of nine siblings in her Italian family, Hallie enjoys making ornaments to answer to all the ones she broke as a child being too eager to get them out of their storage boxes and into the tree.
Hallie has been a flame worker for 12 years, focusing on smaller detail and cold working to add texture and deeper elements to her work. A glass lathe has helped her go deeper into the shaping of her ornaments with more precise angles and overall consistency of form throughout to provide a consistent product.
On a high school field trip to Corning Museum of Glass in Corning New York Hallie first witnessed live glassblowing and immediately thought “If you could ever do that, drop whatever you are doing to learn” . She worked in professional horse barns until the age of 23 where she made the full time shift to a glass apprenticeship where she emerged as her own artist after two years.
