You're the first to get it—and it will ship as soon as it's ready.

Austin Field crafts the art glass sculptures in his "Touch Series" entirely by hand; during the hot sculpting process, a freeform and calculated "touch" is applied to the glass, making each piece slightly unique. This two-piece work displays hues of amber and honey.

"My work speaks to fluidity, sensuality and naturally occurring curves of the body. My blown glass technique involves an approach that engages the material by lightly touching, sculpting, and manipulating the work during the hot process. Each piece captures a specific moment and, once cool, offers its own feedback to the surrounding environment."

Austin Fields explores concepts of light, space, reflection, and abstraction in her blown glass work.

Her processes vary, often utilizing multiple sculpting techniques, gravity, and mirroring practices which result in a distorted visual outcome, offering a physical invitation into the work.

Austin Fields graduated with a BFA in Glass and Sculpture from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions nationwide and is included in collections such as the Mercedes Benz Financial Headquarters and the private collection of Amon Carter. Austin currently resides in Los Angeles where she continues to develop her work and artistic practice.
