Hung Nguyen
MC Glass Art
For over 30 years, Hung Nguyen has been recognized for his exceptional skills in designing and creating outstanding glass art pieces, which has earned him the title of Master of Glass Art.
Nguyen uses flameworking techniques to create stunning fine art glass sculpture. Much of his art represents nature—flowers, animals, sea life—while some of his art is more abstract. Each piece is created by hand shaping colorful borosilicate glass rods into unique designs and figures. Borosilicate glass is well-known for its beauty and strength as well as its resistance to scratching and ability to be repaired if needed.
In 1985, Nguyen became a glass artist and worked alongside internationally acclaimed glass master Hans Godo, who describes Nguyen as not only an outstanding glass artist, but also a gifted designer. Nguyen has been recognized with numerous awards in publications and exhibition. His work can be found in corporate collections such as the McDonald's headquarters in Oakbrook, IL and the Subway headquarters in Connecticut, as well as the homes of George W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Wayne Newton, and Larry King.
