Chris explores the unique qualities of glass and its ability to capture and reflect light through form, color and pattern. His fascination with the material fuels his passion to continue to explore new ideas into fruition.

Chris enjoys the arduous pattern making process of cane and murrini. He uses both contemporary and traditional Italian hand and mold blowing techniques at the furnace as well as a variety of glass cutting and cold working techniques. Chris focus on creating objects that have a simple and elegant approach to form, functionality and Design.

Chris has been working with glass since 2006 and has since then been honing the techniques of hand blown and cut glass. Currently, Chris is a full time artist and owner of GIOSTUDIO Glass living and working in Corning, New York.
