This stunning triptych expresses the artist's vision of the serenity and beauty of waves. In shades of white and gray, the "boat" forms on each of the three panels are created from finely crushed glass using the pate de verre technique. The stainless steel backgrounds are heat treated for silver and gold color. The surface is then hand carved with wave patterns using air tooling. Includes French cleats for hanging. Each piece is unique and will vary.

Kevin Lubbers

"Art should rejuvenate the soul. It should uplift the heart and bring peace to the mind. This world is a beautiful place. I seek to bring to light the utopias I find most precious for the enjoyment of others."

For Kevin Lubbers, inspiration comes from places he's fallen in love with all over the world. Each piece of glass art he creates is a reflection of where he longs to be in a world of increasing uncertainty, and is intended to provide the viewer a momentary escape from reality. In his work, Lubbers strives to capture the rare diamonds he sees in nature, hoping the world will stop and take notice.

Kevin Lubbers creates each work of art himself using warm glass in all its forms, from sheet glass to frit. He frames his glass with either metal or exotic wood frames. All metal that is used in his designs is created in-house.

Kevin Lubbers is primarily self-taught. He has found that trial and error is the best schooling.
