This bronze sculpture of a musician playing the flute is an ode to composer Antonio Vivaldi, who wrote six distinctive concertos for the flute during the Baroque period of the 18th century.

Inspired by this music, the artist creates a complex, abstracted interpretation of a musician playing the flute in reverie. This sculpture represents a physical manifestation of the feeling she gets when hearing Baroque flute music, especially from Vivaldi.

Artist and sculptor Dina Angel-Wing creates three-dimensional art in various media, currently focusing on bronze and steel. Pieces range from figurative to abstract to interpretive. Many of her sculptures incorporate a sense of the fluid sensuality in the human figure. This is juxtaposed against angular pedestals that complement the primary piece by giving it a contextual contrast. The Dream Series explores a contemplative mood by further abstracting the figure using geometric planes and contained movement.
