Designed to brew and sip tea as a precious beverage. Food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. "Porcelain has captured me--hands and heart. Porcelain takes on subtleties of both form and texture and provides a lovely white surface, over which glazes show their rich colors and depth. I design functional porcelain work with sculptural form, creating unique and lyrical pieces to be used to celebrate life's important occasions."

Marion Angelica's work captures the nuances of form and texture of the flora and fauna in our natural world, as well as the sculptural qualities created by wind and water as they carve our earth. Her pieces feel as though they grew naturally and often have a sense of whimsy and joy in their essence.

Angelica builds each piece from soft porcelain slabs that give the work a soft, organic quality. She collects textures from nature and invents new ones to enhance the surfaces of her work. She has developed all her own glazes, which are food and dishwasher safe. She favors subtle colors that have depth and enhance the textured surfaces of her work. Her work is fired to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Marion Angelica earned an undergraduate degree in sculpture and biology from Mount Holyoke College, a master's degree in art from the University of Minnesota, and an M.F.A. from SUNY-New Paltz. She has also studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Northern Clay Center, and Arrowmont Center for Crafts.
