Rachelle Miller

"Natural phenomena infatuate me. My work clearly focuses on small, organic patterns and the communities in which they exist."

When asked to describe her work, Rachelle Miller refers to it as "little colorful microcosms." As a mom, pet mom, visual artist, and art instructor, Miller melds clay in the same way she weaves together all aspects of her life: with texture, color, and layering.

While her pieces may begin—and often remain—strong individually, Miller contends that each singularity is part of a bigger community. Her pieces form a relationship once together, and she takes great joy in seeing the ways they can interact.

Miller uses the potter's wheel and hand-building techniques to create her work. She also uses printing, etching, layering, and multiple firing methods to achieve the surfaces she desires.

In 1996, Rachelle Miller received her BA in art with a ceramics emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After graduation, she spent four years working as a production potter for Rockdale Union Stoneware, Rowe Pottery, and Lakeside Pottery. Since then, she has been working as a studio potter and an instructor.

Well-crafted and delightful

I purchased 6 pieces. I would buy them again, and if the space permitted, I'd buy more. Well-crafted, true to their description, they add a pop of color and interest. I will not tire of looking at their nuanced forms and whimsical accents. I appreciated the care taken to line up the mounting holes on the backs. They are beautiful and uplifting.

Beyond Expectations

These are so beautiful. They are substantial in the feel and color of each piece. I would easily give them 6 stars. I love them all, and the shapes and colors play perfectly together. Absolutely gorgeous.
They were packed with great care and opening each one was like opening a present.

Stunning addition to my new kitchen

I had my kitchen remodeled and there was an empty white wall that needed some color pop. I decided to purchase 12 of the textured wall boxes, and I could not be happier. Such a simple idea that is just stunning; you cannot purchase just one!

Very attractive

I recently ordered six of the textured boxes. They are quite lovely. I did have a problem with one of the boxes. The pea inside of the "sweet pea" box was not secure and it fell out as soon as I unwrapped it. I have returned it and hopefully I will receive another without damage. As soon as I have received the replacement, I am looking forward to installing them.

We're sorry for the damage to this piece. The replacement piece is already on its way! Thank you for your patience.
