Colorful murrini speckle these blown glass cups, bringing cheerful artistry to your table. After being blown and shaped at the bench, the piece is placed in an annealing oven and allowed to cool slowly, which increases the strength of the glass. Sold individually or in sets.

"My goal is to bring awareness and understanding of the natural world into people's lives through handmade objects. I see myself as a craftsman who occasionally succeeds in making piece of Art."

Jesse is a production glassblower, studio artist, and outdoorsman. His work is wide ranging in scope and scale. As a production glassblower, he brings years of technical experience to his role in manifesting the ideas of designers and artists.

In the traditional Italian technique of "murrine," layers of colored glass are pulled into rods, which when sliced in cross section reveal a pattern. These sections make up the rings and dots which fill the lower portion of each cup. This piece is finished by bringing the lip to a fine hand polish.

Jesse studied Scientific Glass Technology and Design at Salem Community College. Additionally, he has attended workshops at the top craft schools in the US, including Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts, and Haystack Mountain School of Craft. This practice has led to at least 10,000 hours in the hotshop building the understanding necessary to produce work of the highest quality.
