Intricate Jewelry
"I was taught crafts as part of a well rounded education. In Chile, the tradition of crafts emerged from the difficult terrain, an impenetrable dessert in the north, Antarctica to the south, the Andes mountains to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Chile was, until 200 years ago, a geographical island. Resourcefulness meant survival and comfort in most cases. Crafting is still seen as honoring one's heritage."

Growing up in a time and place when screens were not a fact of life, Carolina was primarily left to entertain herself with crafts as a small child. She learned traditional methods from her family and caregivers when she lived in Santiago, Chile, and this genesis became her foundation as she developed into an artist when her family emigrated to the US.

A trained goldsmith with a keen eye for intricate detail and an exacting skill set, Carolina has worked across various techniques for decades. Her mastery over materials has left her with an increasing curiosity to model gold, silver, and precious stones into uncommon pieces of jewelry using her broad imagination; the scale of the body being her only limitation.

Carolina’s pieces are empowering to wear and beautiful objects to behold. She makes all aspects of her pieces to her meticulous standards that will become treasured heirlooms.
