The women and minority-owned Sydney Project was founded in 2021. Their mission is to create sophisticated, fashion-forward pieces blended with timeless basics. Made in the USA, each piece is designed to be styled multiple ways, offering versatility, durability, and functionality for the modern woman's everyday life.
Proudly designed and crafted in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the team at Sydney Project is committed to quality craftsmanship, ethical production, and supporting local manufacturing. Sydney Project takes pride and care in every aspect of the design and production process. Not just in the design but in the artistry behind every cut, stitch, and finish.
A graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), Sydney Project's Head Designer and Cofounder, Susan Cheney, spent decades working behind the scenes for some of the most respected brands in the industry. However, deep down, she always carried a vision of her own and wanted to achieve her American Dream. With some encouragement from her family and peers, she established Sydney Project.
