Giselle Shepatin, Inc. was formed in 2000. Her designs have been worn on the red carpet at the Oscars and on the Mark Twain Awards. Her scarves have been featured in Cirque de Soleil performances for several years. She has participated in New York Fashion Week for over 30 years.

She has a Masters degree and went to school for pattern making. Additionally, she mentors many student interns from Canada College and loves to discuss designs and business plans with new designers.

Size 2 was way too large for me, so received size 1 which is so perfect; love the fluide styple very European. the color in blue is very rich.

I love this coat!

I am so glad I ignored the not so good reviews for this coat. I absolutely love it. So much so that I have one in bordeaux and one in chocolate. It is warm, cozy, comfortable, dramatic...looks good buttoned or open. I agree that it looks best with skinny pants/leggings and tall boots. Love love love it.

A versatile, cozy piece

My goal was to replicate the look of a favorite yak wool sweater with less care demands. I also bought the maroon/wine color. Both have become a wardrobe staple. I recommend wearing with leggings or skinny jeans and heels (otherwise it could look a bit like you went out in your robe and pajamas). I agree with a prior commenter that enough fabric to throw over the shoulder (or a more structured hood) might be an advantage.

overpriced unfinished seams and an unflattering front

The fleece jacket is overpriced has unfinished seams and has an unflattering front.
I was very disappointed in the design of this jacket considering the high price for a fleece jacket.
The light color button in the middle of the chest and a front that either hangs down awkwardly in the front and/or is not long enough to throw of the shoulder.
