This necklace is hand-fabricated from Argentium silver in a decorative dot design; each component "dot" of silver is individually hammered, then fused together. 24k gold is fused on the surfaces of some of the dots. This pendant comes with a 16" patinated silver chain with a lobster clasp; patina is also applied to the pendant for additional contrast.

Adrienne Neszmelyi-Romano

"I love to create substantial pieces of wearable art that include bold contrasts, convey simple elegance, and are made to be enjoyed for life. The dynamic structure and balance of the forms that I design and hand fabricate is informed by the irregularity and asymmetry found in organic shapes and patterns in nature."

Adrienne's jewelry reflects her long-term artistic interest in organic forms. The irregular contours of stones, bones, and other natural surfaces often inspire her designs. Sometimes, textures and patterns on the surfaces of her pieces echo arrangements found in natural environments or structures seen at the microscopic level.

Adrienne thoughtfully handcrafts each of her works out of fine, sterling and/or Argentium silver using traditional metalsmithing techniques, some of which are soldering, forging, texturing, and in some cases, casting. Pieces often include multiple contrasting elements, that are accomplished via the use of textures, unique stones, etched and fused surfaces, and/or a patina in the finishing process.

Adrienne Neszmelyi-Romano began her jewelry journey in her teens, as one of many creative art-making activities. Later, while working as a museum professional and pursuing graduate studies in arts education, she took a metalsmithing class and her life in the arts was forever changed. Now working full time in jewelry, she fuses her love of the arts and sciences and nature into her modern designs.
